Black and Orange Stray cats :)

Hey! Sorry we haven't posted in a few days, Meep and I have been kind of busy.  ;)   I'm making a black cat right now for my niece for Christmas! It's going to look just like my real cat, whom she loves.  :)  And for her new-born sister, Meep is helping me make a Blanket! The blanket is going to be difficult, because it has triangles in it! The next challenge might have something to do with triangles so watch out! For the older sister's next birthday I'm going to give her an orange cat to go with her black one :D I don't know what to give my Fluffy dog though! Comment with any ideas!

Christmas in the Knit an Adventure club! *CHALLENGE*

Meep and I are knitting hard right now for christmas! We're knitting Stuffed animals for a bunch of people, hats for some, slippers, and even trying some new patterns! I have a challenge for anybody reading this post! The challenge is:
  1. Knit at least one thing for a friend or family member as a gift.
  2. Theres a time limit! You have to make the gift before Christmas.
  3. Also find some creative way of wrapping your gift! Don't use normal wrapping paper, or bags!
  4. Post a comment about what you made, how you wrapped it, and what YOU think the person's reaction will be! Then later you could post what the reaction really was. ;)
Well that's our first (maybe only :P) Knit An Adventure challenge! Have fun!

Knitty Kitty!!!

Ok! So this is the knitted kitty that we were talking about before! It took me about a day to make, its all in garter (knit(NORMAL)) stitch, so it should be easy! heres the instructions!! (THIS IS NOT MY PATTERN)

First you cast on 24 stitches
Knit in garter stitch for 52 rows then bind off
*you now have the body piece!! :D*

After that you cast on 12 stitches
Knit in garter for 14 rows
Knit 4 rows, knitting together the first 2 stitches of each row
^^(which means you take two stitches instead of one then continue to knit)^^
Then! knit 4 rows, adding 1 stitch at the beginning of each row
^^(look up increasing if you dont know how, its pretty simple!)^^
Once your done with all of that, knit 14 more rows then bind off
*thats the head piece!!!*

Once your done with all of that:
Cast on 12 stitches
Knit 7 rows
Bind off
*tail!!!* ;P

Here is the Website if you need instructions on how to hold the pieces!!

Introduction to KAA

Welcome to Knit An Adventure.  If you like knitting you've found the right blog! On this blog we'll post knitting patterns that we've found, and things that we've made.  As you might have seen the two authors of this blog are: Me (KAT), and My best friend Meeeeeep (We will just call ourselves and each other, Kat, and Meep).

Right now we're working on STUFFED ANIMALS:  They're not difficult, but they're not really easy either.  Stuffie #1: Cats.  Stuffie #2: Bird.  Stuffie #3: Rabbits! These are the first animals Meep and I are planning to make.  Meep has already completed her cat, and is working on the bird.  I'm still working on the cat.  We will get pictures and post them!! Along with the pattern! It's pretty simple, but it takes a while.

If you like knitting follow KAA, and join our club! HISTORY OF KAA: When meep, and I started knitting, we also wanted to start a knitting club.  So we talked about it a bit more, and decided on the name KNIT AN ADVENTURE.  We have not gotten any new members, so it is a two person club at the moment.

Well that's it for my first post!
